Staubach Honoraria for composition

, ,

In 2008 Harry and Alice Eiler donated the Staubach Prize for the first time. Within the 45th International Summer Courses for New Music Darmstadt this prize has been changed into five Staubach Honoraria and his amount doubled.

The jury of three consisting of Hans Thomalla, Martin Iddon and Thomas Schäfer came to a decision in November 2009. The five by the Harry and Alice Eiler Foundation donated awards went to: Stefan Prins (Belgium), Aaron Einbond (USA), Malin Bång (Sweden), Evan Gardner (USA/Norway) and Mauricio Pauly (Costa Rica).

–I will be writing a new piece for the Norwegian ensemble Asamisimasa [cl, elec. gtr, pn, perc, vc] to be rehearsed and premiered during the 2010 Darmstadt International Summer Course.
